Community Partnership

A central feature of Partners in Healthy Living Ottawa is the attention we pay to partnerships.

Our partners include groups or organizations with an active interest in promoting healthy living and a willingness to get involved.

Ottawa Public Health plays a key role in overseeing various projects to support health in our community. Volunteers contribute time and talent to planning and making our programs and activities happen.

Our spirit comes from our partners.

It is what keeps us going, makes us successful, and brings enjoyment to our activities. It comes from our experiences in decision-making by consensus, respecting the role and contribution of each partner, and remaining flexible and willing to try something that has not been done before.

What Does A Partner Do?

Partners sit on one of Partners in Health Living Ottawa sub-committees or partner coalitions and are involved in planning activities or doing tasks. Our partners are committed to sharing knowledge and resources with other partners. They benefit from access to low cost training, networking opportunities, forming working relationships with groups with similar interests, and access to funds needed to get healthy living initiatives off the ground.
